Organized in Style




Staying Organized is a practical task for any individual. But in my business or blogging, networking and booking clients I had to find an easier way then what I had going on before.  Prior to purchasing these two Blue Sky items I was lugging around multiple notebooks, a thick meeting folder, a monthly calender, and a thick note book.  

These new two items are great and have minimized my paperwork.  They are both vinyl covering and printed with soy-based ink on 50% recycled paper.  I use the Note-book for my to-do list each week. I divide it into categories for Post topics and I also list other things I don’t want to forget to do or check into.  For the Planner, I like how its more then what I had before...this is a weekly/monthly calender so I have areas to note anything important by my booked clients.  

So far this new system has been working well along with my iPhone calender and iBooks (for holding my contracts).  I'm off to a nicely organized start for 2014 and its soooo refreshing.

Homemade Chicken Soup


 We received our first snow day today in Hampton Roads and what better way to spend the day closed in making chicken soup, sipping on tasty wine and finding much inspiration on Pinterest.   Here is my recipe for when you decide to find some warmth on a snowy day.



Ingredients: 
  • 1 Small Egg Plant (cut into pieces, removing the core)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • 1 Potato
  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 2-3 Corn on the cobs (broke in half)
  • 1 pack of Chicken Breast (skinless)
  • 7 Spanish Manzanilla Olives (stuffed w/minced pimientos)
  • 1 spoon of minced Garlic
  • 3 spoons of Knorr Chicken Flavor Bouillon
  • 2 spoons of Tomato Paste
  • Herbs - Ground Pepper, Cilantro, Oregano (1/2 tablespoon each)
  • Half a gallon of Water


Directions:

Now it's time to add everything together and enjoy this delicious, fresh soup! Add all ingredients to the pot in the following order (the order does matter): 
  • Add Water, Chicken, Onions, Pepper, Olives, Garlic and herbs (Let simmer for for 35 minutes on high heat)
  • Add Corn, Egg Plants, Potatoes, Tomato Paste and Bouillon flavor (let simmer for 30 minutes on medium heat)
